Dating from the twentieth century, a charming and large antique French faisselle cheese mold. This glazed and perforated terracotta pot would have originally been used on a farm for preparing faisselle cheese. Its cylindrical shape features a cream interior glaze and a light terracotta colored exterior glaze. It is marked on underneath by the pottery maker, on the top line, and region in France below. Note minor chips as seen in photos.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
